Brazilian fine jeweler Silvia Furmanovich is pleased to debut a collaboration with Columbian-based, interior design company Moye, founded by sisters Tatiana and Maria Cabal.

The pieces from the capsule collection are inspired by paintings and drawings of the botanical expeditions of biologists José Celestino Mutis and Alexander von Humboldt, who travelled to Colombia during the 18th and 19th centuries.
Drawing on richly colored motifs based on the natural world, the collection features imagery of guava fruit, tropical flowers and birds. These are masterfully applied to earrings, bracelets, necklaces and pendants, as well as on hand mirrors and vide poche trays, which represent Furmanovich’s recent foray into home.
Each piece in the collection is handcrafted by an exceptional community of artisans living in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, who specialize in the art of marquetry. Marquetry is the centuries old art of assembling together paper thin veneers of wood to create intricate designs, given a new interpretation by Furmanovich in recent years. The pieces from the collection are set in 18k gold with precious stones and diamonds.

The aesthetic synergy between Moye’s prints that reflect the source and beauty of nature and Silvia Furmanovich’s jewelry inspired by Brazil’s flora and fauna was ripe for creative partnership. Both brands are also obsessed with craftsmanship and design with a Latin sensibility.
